Manny Brito
Born in the Cape Verde Islands, Manny lived in Italy for 6 years before he came to the USA to finish HS at Choate Rosemary Hall in CT. He then attended ST. Lawrence University where he majored in International relations and earned a number of accolades including Rookie of the year in the State of NY, all state in all 4 years and all American for two consecutive years. Manny has a record of most goals scored at st.Lawrence and fastest goal scored in the history of the men’s team. After graduation Manny played professional soccer in South Korea, Portugal , USISL. After retiring he began his teaching and coaching career. He is currently a teacher at Shore Country Day School. He has been coaching club soccer for nearly 12 now and takes pride in passing on his knowledge and passion of the game to the youth he coaches. Through this coaching career he has seen many of his players move on to play college soccer at schools like Connecticut College, NYU, Quinnipiac, Merrimack College, Colgate, Hobart, St. Michael’s, Springfield, among many others. This has been his main goal and continues to be his focus. Over the years manny has taken his teams to Europe( Germany, Portugal and Spain)over the summer to experience the game in a different way and this continues to be an important focus for him
