NORTH BRANFORD, Connecticut, Friday, January 20, 2022: CT Rush is thrilled to announce Britt Simpson as the new Head Coach of our UWS program for the upcoming 2023 season. Simpson is a graduate of the UWS program and currently coaches the 04/05 Girls team. Coach Simpson will be assisted by Stephanie Demake. Demake also serves as the Head Coach of Post University in Waterbury, CT.
A native of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Simpson has a storied career as a player, moving to Connecticut to compete at Yale University, and captaining the team for the 2018/19 season. Simpson then competed professionally in the WSL in England before returning to Connecticut to work for Pfizer.
Assistant Coach, Stephanie Demake, is a native of Auburn, MA, and competed at Worcester State University before embarking on a storied coaching career. Her first role was as an assistant at Wheaton College before holding the same position at Ohio University, Stetson, Troy University, and Davidson College. Demake was named Head Coach at Post University in 2018.

With the tremendous support from Rush and the quality of players within the program, Brittany and I aim to facilitate an experience that is competitive, professional, and unmatched in Connecticut”, stated Demake. “It’s exciting to be a part of the continually growing community of players, coaches, and directors committed to the growth of the women’s game.”
CT Rush launched the UWS program in 2021 and has successfully implemented a pro-am soccer experience for Rush alums, local collegiate athletes, and other interested players. CT Rush will be announcing tryout dates shortly.
